RUGGED LAPTOP

A ruggedized laptop for use in the field and in vehicles by military and law enforcement personnel.

It has a rugged LCD touch screen display suitable for harsh environments. It contains Intel CPU with USB, Ethernet, and UART ports. The rugged laptop is water proof and complies with industrial temperature specifications.

CFVR-B

A commercially designed ball-shaped airborne crash and fire proof digital recorder (Black Box).

Based on a mechanical and chemical patents, the monolithic memory is contained and isolated in a special case within the protected shell, while the other hardware and software are contained in an external compartment. The protected memory shell can withstand 1100°C (2012°F) for 1 hour and 3000g mechanical shock in all axes.

A commercially designed cylinder-shaped airborne crash and fire proof digital recorder (Black Box).

CHARGER COMMUNICATOR

An electronic board used for charging special PDA batteries. It monitors the charging process and controls the internal processor for downloading and uploading data.

The charger is based on an Intel PXA270 CPU, and runs Windows CE operating system.

VIDEO LATENCY TESTER

An electronic board used for accurate measurement of video latency, with a resolution of 1 msec, in analog or digital systems. It is based on insertion of a special pattern to the input video and detection of the pattern in the output.

It is designed on FPGA (Xilinx Spartan3) and can be configured from a PC by using a serial port. The latency results are displayed on LED display as well as sent to the serial port, to be displayed in a Hyper Terminal.

MEDICAL ACTUATOR

A miniature electronic board (AAA Battery size) used for generating a high voltage (300V) for actuating a muscle stimulus, controlled by commands sent via a short range 2.4 GHz wireless link.

The medical actuator uses a single AAA battery to generate the high voltage and to operate the wireless link.

MEDICAL FOOT SENSOR

A miniature electronic board (Quarter coin size) used for detecting a foot "step-on" by sensing the foot pressure, and transmitting it over a sort range wireless radio link.

VIDEO PROCESSING BOARD

An electronic board used for development of algorithms for video processing, video analytics, image processing, etc. It is based on Texas Instruments C64x DSP and Xilinx FPGA.

The video processing board includes:
6 composite (PAL & NTSC) video inputs
1 composite (PAL & NTSC) video output
Analog audio input and output
USB port
Ethernet port

PDA CRADLE

A plastic cradle suitable for 2, 4 and 8 digital smart PDAs, used by the US Postal Service.

This was a turn-key project that included electronics and software design in addition to industrial and mechanical design. The customer received the complete production files.

BASEBAND RECEIVER

A professional PCI electronic board used for processing digital signals for software radio and spectrum analysis. The board is based on FPGA (Xilinx Virtex 4), with multiple external digital interfaces and peripherals.

The board is designed to comply with industrial temperature specifications and military mechanical environmental conditions.

RUGGED PC

A ruggedized PC for use in military vehicles in the battlefield and by law enforcement personnel. It contains separate processing and peripheral unit and a display unit.

The display unit is a rigid waterproof touch screen LCD display suitable for harsh environments. The processing unit contains an Intel CPU with USB, Ethernet, UART and other special input ports. The complete system complies with battle vehicle mechanical vibration specifications during driving conditions, it is waterproof and complies with industrial temperature specifications.

DISPLAY CONTROLLER

An electronic board used for controlling analog video signals with multiplexing, gain control and text overlay control.

The board communicates with any serial RS232 terminal using a proprietary command and control protocol for management of multiple schemes and add / remove / change the text overlay.

SIGNAL CONVERSION UNIT

An airborne digital high speed signals distribution and protocol conversion unit. It is used for converting various types of interfaces to other interfaces when using analog and digital circuits.

The signal conversion unit complies with EMI design according to MIL-STD-461C, and meets military temperature, humidity and environmental specifications. It is and sand- and dust-proof, fungus- and salt- resistant, as well as explosion proof.
